AZ Urban Studio has secured planning permission from the London Borough of Enfield’s Planning Committee for an additional floor to provide further residential accommodation at Clock Parade, near Enfield Town Centre. Designed by Syte Architects, the proposal includes the creation of 5 additional apartments with four units across the broad building frontage and one to the rear section of the roof. The area between will form a landscaped communal area with secure cycle storage and improved existing access for both current and future residents.
AZ Urban Studio led on all planning and heritage matters and undertook all negotiation with the Local Planning Authority, including briefing the Conservation Advisory Group due to the site abutting the Bush Hill Park Conservation Area.
The London Borough of Enfield granted planning permission at planning committee in August 2017. This type of sensitive addition to existing low-rise buildings in the outer London Boroughs has the dual benefit of delivery housing growth, while also securing investment in the upgrading of existing buildings.
