AZ Urban Studio has assisted in securing planning permission to substantially renovate and extend a house on Furlong Road in Islington.
The project designed and led by E. G. Architects envisages the construction of a large rear extension and delicate changes to the front facade. This strategy allows the plan of the existing building to be adapted to accommodate modern living whilst respecting the existing character of the street and Conservation Area.
AZ Urban Studio provided strategic planning support throughout the planning process. This included an assessment before purchase and advice and support throughout the pre-application and application process. Critically the project was led by the architect, this is a good example of how we can assist a team strategically, leaving more operational aspects to the design team.
