AZ Urban Studio has secured planning permission and conservation area consent at appeal for the redevelopment of a constrained site to the rear of Orford Road in Walthamstow Village.
The project involves the redevelopment of a derelict and underutilised site to the rear or Orford Road to provide two townhouses with amenity space predominately provided at roof level.
AZ Urban Studio managed the planning appeal, following the refusal of planning perversion on design grounds. AZ Urban Studio led on all planning and heritage aspects of the appeal working closely with the Fourth Space architects. This involved preparation of the full Statement of Case, supporting material and negotiation of a legal agreement with the LPA.
The two houses have now been completed.
