AZ Urban Studio has secured planning permission for a major development on a constrained site on The Highway at the junction of Ensign Street.

The mixed-use development includes 24 residential units (including five affordable homes) and flexible commercial use on the ground floor in one building ranging from five to eight storeys.

Platform 5 Architects designed a proposal that optimises a complex and relatively small triangular site while delivering carefully designed homes and amenity space.

AZ Urban Studio led all aspects of the planning process, including advising on strategy, procuring sub-consultants, public engagement and coordinating the planning application and negotiations with the LPA. In addition, we advised on the architectural section and overarching planning strategy related to site design.
